The work of Legionaries brings us in close contact with Suffering humanity and we see Christ suffering in those who are sick and poor.
How much we miss this? Instead of reaching out to the sick and those in nursing homes we easily only worry about ourselves.
I agree that we need to take safety precautions but also we need to be ready to help our neighbor. There is no situation that should take us away from our duty of love, even pick up the phone.
We need to continue to be united to Mary serving her son present in His mystical body especially in those who suffer and are sick.
We have to be ready to see how our neighbors are doing. And yes do not be afraid to make contact!
Suffering is part of the body of Christ. Our head Jesus suffered first.
We are all joined in this body. How blessed to be part of a family.
This body is alive. It is growing.
This Easter I baptized a muslim lady and a Buddhist man and 3 other adults. Tonight I baptize six more.
We are a family. We are called to show mercy to each other since God has been so merciful to us.
We are called to love one another as Christ loved us.
Love and suffering go together. If we love Christ then we will suffer for him. We will rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that Christ is near us and He is bringing good out of it.
Jesus comes to us in our sufferings to give us Peace. Shalom!
He comes into the locked room of the Cenacle. Peace be with you.
And He leaves to the Church to his apostles the ministry of Reconciliation.
We need to constantly live off of mercy.
We need the sacrament of Reconciliation. We need the Eucharist, the lifeblood of souls.
We need to show this mercy.
God wants to make you holy right now in this unique time of history.
In this pandemic we have to not despair for Christ is the alpha and the Omega. The Church is alive.
The Church suffers but the Church also will go through a resurrection.
The Church has had scandals and abuse of power but it is truly the bride of Christ. Though its members have marred its beauty she is still beautiful and we have to be beautiful, we have to open our hearts with trust to the Merciful Lord.
We need to consecrate ourselves to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. In the end my Immaculate Heart will Triumph.
The Immaculate Heart needs to be our refuge. We are in the world but not of the world.
Don’t’ be afraid of the cross.
In Faustina’s diary she writes. “Then I saw the Lord Jesus nailed to the cross. When He had hung on it for a while, I saw a multitude of souls crucified like Him. Then I saw a second multitude of souls, and a third. The second multitude were not nailed to [their] crosses, but were holding them firmly in their hands. The third were neither nailed to [their] crosses nor holding them firmly in their hands, but were dragging [their] crosses behind them and were discontent. Jesus then said to me, Do you see these souls? Those who are like Me in the pain and contempt they suffer will be like Me also in glory. And those who resemble Me less in pain and contempt will also bear less resemblance to Me in glory.”
When we go through sufferings we need to know that we are on the right track, stay with the Lord. The devil wants to make you think you have to put the cross down or that God is not with you. Christ has died and has risen. Let his Easter joy give you Hope. Our life has a meaning and purpose. He who created us has redeemed us.
All people are called to this resurrection, to this new life.
Only Jesus can save us. We place our hope in Him. Let us stay close to the Church to our faith and not waver. We remain in hope loving our neighbor and showing mercy.
Pray and offer your sufferings up to Jesus through Mary. This is a powerful prayer so that the blood of the mystical body can flow and a channel of grace can open up for many souls.
